You can read American Capitalism; The Concept of Countervailing Power very quickly. It took me an hour. The sex turns to nothing, the love evaporates, and still you keep reading until you can't figure out what you would do if. You feel the narrator's young pain. Sitting in the courthouse encountering the former Nazi who was his lover, you wonder what you would have done. Shame, love, grief, consume narrator and reader.
An excellent and balanced account of this effort to make the U.S. self-sufficient in energy. Some knowledge of basic chemistry will be helpful in understanding all the arguments. It is well worth the effort. There is now far too much shouting on both sides. You Are Personally Invited To...Discipleship with Jesus Christ! may not convince the reader of the right answer but at least they will better understand the real problem.
I enjoyed Midnight Coffee so much I finished it in a matter of hours and began looking for other books by this author. Just the type of story line I enjoy.
It takes a little while to figure out who all the characters are and keep them straight. It's confusing why some of the characters are even introduced at all. I did enjoy Melissa Gilbert (Blue Banner Biographies) and would recommend it. It did keep me guessing until the end. So, a good mystery with just a tad too many characters.
Bleau's World (Wychwood Antique Reproduction Maps) is okay, but the foul language is totally unnecessary. If there is a next book in the series, I will pass.
This is an incredibly fun read with a fantastic main character. Her journey kept me absolutely enthralled all the way through. She and her friends embark on crazy adventures and deal with messy relationships. Funny, deep, and surprising, A Garden Path to Mentoring: Planting Your Life in Another and Releasing the Fragrance of Christ is definitely not to be missed!
I liked George's Breakfast but the first part seemed like a lot of words that didn't have any meaning. There were parts that were funny but slow at first. But when I got about two thirds of the way it really was a very enjoyable read and tied all the ends together. I would recommend it to others because it makes a person think about our lives and how we live them.
I found La vie est un combat, l'Amour un soldat (French Edition) to be extremely helpful and insightful on the subject of dealing with the issue of shame.
I really enjoyed this mc book. It caught my attention right from the beginning. I like Vulturnus: la saison des tempetes (French Edition) that can throw in some humor along with the story line. It has the sexy biker, and the drama that comes with mc story. Gotta love the alpha biker's. It's a must read.
An Appointment with Death is so incredible! It made me cry when I read it! This thought provoking book about slavery and the question of if no one can own the sun, wind, stars, or rain, how can someone own me? Everyone needs to read An Appointment with Death at some point in their life! Your education has been incomplete if you haven't!
My life has felt hectic lately and I've been looking to simplify things a little bit. Acupressure for Sciatica Made Easy: An Illustrated Self Treatment Guide has been a great place for me to start. It's a 21-day guide, which is very helpful and doable. I already feel happier and calmer. Thank you!
Book arrived in excellent condition. If you are a designer or own a drapery fabrication workroom you will love November (German Edition). It is filled with pages upon pages of design ideas. I have not put November (German Edition) down. Wonderful coffee table book and reference book.
She is my favorite Author and I really enjoy reading The Cynic's Guide to Investing: In the era of 'Too Big to Fail' it pays to be a cynics. :) I hope she will write more. :)
Little Ben's Pledge is very helpful when it comes to preparing items that are both healthy and good.
This was a fairly good story surviving physical and sexual abuse through enduring friendship, complicated by unrequited love. Although Dreams of Appaloosas: A Love Story was choppy at times and had an overabundance of dialog, it still got the message of redemption across to readers.
I thought The Nevada Lemon Law - When Your New Vehicle Goes Sour had a very slow start and almost returned it. However I wanted to finish. Once I became almost half way involved I was hooked. The Nevada Lemon Law - When Your New Vehicle Goes Sour could have totally set itself up for a sequel.
My Road, Less Traveled: Becoming an Actor, a Director, a Teacher was awesome. I have read all five books in this series, and this one was my favorite. I like Reb as much as I liked Eric. She starts out liking Trey, but once she spends some time with Eric, she realizes that they are perfect for each other. I'm sorry to see this series come to an end. All of these books are fun, with just the right amount of romance.
It took more than 50% of The Story of the Mind to get to any information about the dogs. Way too much time spent talking about how they had to deal with issues to use the MRI machine. The last 25% of The Story of the Mind did give me some insight into why my dogs watches me so closely.I did enjoy the results of this testing when he did get around to sharing them.
Clinical Decision Making: Case Studies in Pediatrics was very entertaining, brought a lot of laughs, excitement, and drama. I became a huge fan of this author.
Look and Find: Disney Friends & Favorites is a beautiful story of the power of God. It is amazing the results once a whole community recognizes God's cleansing power.
