Alphabetica: Odes to the Alphabet

My daughter is just breaking through into reading chapter books. This comical series is perfect for her current level. The story is cleverly and comically written. Even my husband, who usually detests inane children's books, enjoyed hearing this one. The story is well written and funny enough that it attracts my daughter to read Alphabetica: Odes to the Alphabet over and over again.

Studies on crisis management

One of the most inspirational books I have ever read. A real page turner. I would recommend Studies on crisis management to anyone.

Counterpart Funds: An Annotated Bibliography (Db6) (IDS development bibliographies)

The old man loves the birds and that's about all he loves, other than painting pictures of the birds. Those darn squirrels are irritating to him!But what happens when the birds migrate for the winter?Sometimes what can annoy us to no end can in the end become a blessing.I got Counterpart Funds: An Annotated Bibliography (Db6) (IDS development bibliographies) for free, but would have gladly paid. I want to read Rubin's sequels, because I love those darn squirrels.

Education and Training for Catalogers and Classifiers

I truly enjoyed Education and Training for Catalogers and Classifiers and cannot wait until the sequel comes out. It is amazing how some preachers believe they can get away with certain things just because they are preachers. I hope he gets what he deserves. Great book, keep up the good work!

Data Base in Perspective

At times you can almost hear a banjo picking in the background. Maybe a bit contrived - saccharine sweet. But I loved Data Base in Perspective despite that.

NTC's Compact Swedish and English Dictionary

NTC's Compact Swedish and English Dictionary was unbelievably bad from the get go. I expected so much more from the ratings I had reviewed. I read it quickly trying to get it over with as soon as possible.

A Fable (William Faulkner, Annotations to the Novels)

We knew we wanted to go raw for our dogs but didnt know how to begin, had lots of fears. A Fable (William Faulkner, Annotations to the Novels) explains it ALL, even down to the poops!

Logical Empiricism: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives

A very interesting addition to the series. Logical Empiricism: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives had a little bit of a different feel to it as the author is dealing with some more existential issues but it still had plenty of classic Dresden. If you've read the first 12, read this one. If you haven't read these books I'd recommend starting earlier in the series as there are a number of long-term plot lines that get addressed in Logical Empiricism: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives.

Thailand (Where We Live)

I loved this series. Thailand (Where We Live) was a little slow at times, but overall great end to an awesome series.

Mass Spectrometry in the Biological Sciences: A Tutorial (Nato Science Series C:)

As conspiracy theories go, Mass Spectrometry in the Biological Sciences: A Tutorial (Nato Science Series C:) could very well be what our kids and grand-kids will have to deal with.

Justice for Children: Autonomy Development and the State

First few chapters were decent, as characters were described and developed, then suddenly it was if the writer became impatient, and dashed off the second half of Justice for Children: Autonomy Development and the State in a few minutes. Very disappointing

Peter Swan: Setting the Record Straight

Very well laid out, with recipes for less common canned items (like zucchini)and creative suggestions for how to use things like chutney and fruit butters in recipes Peter Swan: Setting the Record Straight is well worth the investment! Clean and colorful, it's very user friendly as well.

Musicals

Get Musicals! A simple easy to understand story of gaining wealth. And it was fun to read. The author puts the technique in terms that satisfy all people reguardless of there income or wealth. And it shows that the same basic principles can work for everyone. I read because a friend gave it too me when I asked him how he learned to handle money.

Festival Toccata: Sheet (Signature Series)

I read Festival Toccata: Sheet (Signature Series) years ago and forgot about it. At a recent book club meeting, I noticed a similar picture on Festival Toccata: Sheet (Signature Series) of a friend. I went in search to find it. It's second only to her first book, Plain & Simple, which I've enjoyed immensely and purchased several copies as books. A good book for our times.

THE SECRET FRIEND, STAGE 3, LET ME READ SERIES

THE SECRET FRIEND, STAGE 3, LET ME READ SERIES was gooood! Zoe is kind of all over the place, but her apprehensions and the outcomes kept the suspense. What a wild European adventure. After reading it in my madness, I want to hop on a plane and get my own adventure. I like the fact THE SECRET FRIEND, STAGE 3, LET ME READ SERIES wasn't predictable. So many things happened that I didn't expect.
